Return to Los Angeles

I’m gripped by the familiar pre-departure excitement as I’m waiting for my morning flight with American Airlines. PRG – LHR – JFK – LAX. A very open-ended trip that I had to arrange on a five days’ notice…

I spent a good part of the past six months working on a startup business called 7pm anywhere together with my Australian co-founder, Amir. With an ambitious project like this we naturally tried to apply for a couple of American startup accelerators and hoped…

This Monday we were offered an interview with a Los Angeles-based startup accelerator called Start Engine. The latest possible date was one week away. Well, what do you do when an opportunity like this knocks on the door completely unexpected? You drop everything you’re doing and book the damn tickets.

It felt like a superhuman achievement to plan this trip in a few days while studying for a mathematics exam (I passed!) and hurriedly meeting all the friends I hadn’t had the chance to see when I was away in Australia for half a year. But here I am, ready to take off, and my only plan is now CALIFORNIA, baby!
